Teaching Philosophy
I believe every one can learn, no matter the age or stage, if they are motivated to learn. I have been teaching for over 14 years and have guided artists from as young as 3 years old through adults and have taught at the college level for over a decade. I am certified in the Suzuki Method in Books 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 but use a blended approach of both the Suzuki Method and more traditional teaching approaches. Some artists I have worked with continue on to be professional musicians and educators while others leave having a deeper love and knowledge of the cello! I teach in person in the greater Albuquerque area, as well as online through Zoom, or Facetime. I am also available for school and group coaching.
